4.2 - Create Users and Groups

Control various levels of access to your MindTouch content throughout your site with user and group permissions.

User and Groups will be maintained in the Control Panel by Administrators. 

Create a User
These steps will walk you through the process of creating a user.

  • Add and configure users
    Add and configure new users for your site to control who can modify which content. Add users to groups for easier permission management.
  • Add multiple users
    Use a bulk method to add multiple users at the same time to your MindTouch site.
  • Assign contributor roles
    Assign roles to Pro Members to be able to contribute to your MindTouch site.
  • User types
    There are three default MindTouch user types with predefined privileges - Anonymous users, Community Members, Pro Members.
  • Pro Member Roles and Permissions
    There are 6 Pro Member roles with  associated permissions you can assign to users or groups.
  • Manage users
    Manage, deactivate, and edit users through the Control Panel. View username, display name, email address,  user type, last login, created date, and user activity.
  • User preferences
    Control your user preferences, including display name, email, timezone, and password.
