4.2 - Create Users and Groups

Control various levels of access to your MindTouch content throughout your site with user and group permissions.

User and Groups will be maintained in the Control Panel by Administrators. 

Create a User
These steps will walk you through the process of creating a user.

  • Manage users
    From the Control Panel you can add, manage, edit, and deactivate users. You can also assign users to groups, manage their role assignments, and view user information and activity.
  • Add multiple users
    Use a bulk method to add multiple users to your site at the same time.
  • Assign contributor roles
    Assign roles to Pro Members to enable them to contribute to your site.
  • User types
    There are three default user types with predefined privileges - Anonymous users, Community Members, and Pro Members.
  • Pro Member Roles and Permissions
    There are 6 Pro Member roles with  associated permissions you can assign to users.
  • User preferences
    Control your user preferences, including display name, email, timezone, and password.
