Stop a page from redirecting

This page applies to:MindTouch (current)

Whether you manually added a redirect or whether MindTouch added one behind the scenes due to a page having been copied or moved, at one point you may need to remove a redirect from a page.

Why would I want to remove a redirect?

Let's say you have a page A that is redirecting to page B, but you now want to restore page A or create new content at A. In those cases, you will need to access the  page and remove the redirect on page A.

Remove a redirect from a page

  1. Type the URL for page A into the browser's address bar and add ?redirect=no to the end of the URL.
Original URL Appended URL
www.domain.com/location/A www.domain.com/location/A?redirect=no
  1. On the MindTouch toolbar, click Edit to open page A.
  2. Delete the following text from the page:
#REDIRECT [[path/to/page]]
  1. Click Save.
