Export your entire MindTouch archive or partial hierarchies through the import/export manager.
 

Generate your export archive


Exporting content can occur for full archives or partial hierarchies:

Full site export

  1. Enter your email into the Email address field.

  1. Select the Export tab.

  1. Select Export full site.

  1. Click the Export button.

  1. You receive an email at your specified email address that includes links to your site archive and an error report.
     

The status bar at the top of the import/export manager will provide updates on your import status.

 

Partial site export

  1. Enter your email into the Email address field.

  1. Select the Export tab.

  1. Select Export partial hierarchy.

  1. Click on a page hierarchy to export.

  1.  Click Export.

  1. To begin exporting, click Export in the confirmation prompt.

Import specific hierarchies or your entire MindTouch archive into your site using the import/export manager.
 

Import your archive


 Before importing your MindTouch archive, upload your archive to a secure file sharing service and a generate a URL for use.

Step 1: Conduct a test import

Test importing your archive will detail any errors in the import process. To test import, paste the URL of your uploaded archive, check the Test import box, then click the Import button.

Your archive will not be imported. Instead, you will receive an email that includes the following:

  • Email header confirming Import Test Run Complete or Import Test Run Failed.
  • Email CSV attachment containing a detailed list of errors.  Click here to see a list of errors. 

Step 2: Import your site archive

  1. Input your email in the Email address field.

  1. Select the Import tab.

  1. Enter the URL to your archive (generated from your file sharing service).

  1. Click the Import button.

The status bar at the top of the import/export manager will provide updates on your import status.

  1. You receive an email notification at your specified email address that also includes a link to your error report.
