Embed the customer insights tool

This article provides steps for embedding the customer insights Touchpoint into your web properties or applications.

Prerequisites


  • Create a customer insights Touchpoint
  • Basic HTML skills
  • Host or domain on which you want to embed the customer insights Touchpoint
  • Rights of authorship on the page on which you want to embed the customer insights Touchpoint

How to embed the customer insights Touchpoint


Step 1: Copy the embed code

Note to user   NOTE:  Skip this section if you already copied the code when you created your customer insights Touchpoint.

  1. From the Site tools menu on the MindTouch toolbar, select Dashboard.
  2. Navigate to Integrations > Touchpoints management.
  3. Scroll to Active Touchpoint tools, select your Touchpoint and click Copy code to clipboard.

Step 2: Embed the customer insights Touchpoint

  1. Navigate to the page on which you want to embed your customer insights Touchpoint.
  2. Decide where on the page you want to add the customer insights Touchpoint.
  3. If necessary, consult with your product developers to access the HTML of your web application.
  4. Paste the embed code directly into the HTML of your web page or application.

Step 3: Test your customer insights Touchpoint

  1. Open your web page or application.
  2. Type a user's name into the search bar.

  1. Verify the customer insights Touchpoint returns search and view activity entries for the user.
