Assign a group role

This article outlines how to assign a role to a MindTouch user group.

If your site contains semi-public, semi-private and/or private pages, we recommend configuring users and groups with the role of Viewer in the control panel, since higher permissions can always be added on individual pages or sections later as needed. Also note that the highest group role assigned (whether assigned in the control panel or on the page) always takes precedence on that page.


How to assign a role to groups

  1. On the MindTouch toolbar, navigate to Site tools > Control panel.
  2. Under Users and Groups, click Groups. 
  3. Click Edit in the row of the group to edit.

  1. Assign the appropriate group role and click Save.
