Create an email workflow for requested articles (SAP KC)


The "Request Article" workflow allows you to receive requests for articles to incorporate into your content management flow. Configure the following for an effective "Request Article" workflow:
 

Configure the email subject

To set up the email subject, add the configuration key workflow/submit-article-request/email-subject-template, and set the value to what ever data you added in the request article form. Since the subject field is available in our boilerplate, here is an example of a value:

Request Article: {{SUBJECT}}

Configure the email body

To set up the email body, add the configuration key workflow/submit-article-request/email-plain-body-template, and set the value to data what ever data you might need from the contact support form. Example:

Ticket id: {{TICKETID}}, 
Ticket subject: {{SUBJECT}}, 
Ticket description: {{DESCRIPTION}}, 
Brand: {{BRAND}},
Product: {{PRODUCT}}, 
Email: {{_EMAIL}}

Configure email to send with HTML content

If you want to send your email with HTML content in it you must add and use the following configuration key:
workflow/submit-article-request/email-body-templateand set the value to the data you might need to complete the article creation request form. 

IMPORTANT! Your template must be enclosed inside <HTML> and <BODY> tags. Example:

Configure email recipients

To set up email recipients, add the configuration key workflow/submit-article-request/email-recipientsand set the value to any email address.

Configure where the page will redirect upon form completion

To set up where the page will redirect upon form completion, add the configuration key workflow/submit-article-request/next-uri-template​,and set the value to either a page within your site. Example:

  • /help/articlerequestsent (Ideally a thank you page your users will see after a successful article request submission)
  •  Or a external page (http://www.mindtouch.com)

Workflow rules

You must have the following fields filled up for the Workflows to work.

If you want to email as your workflow, you must set, workflow/submit-article-request/email-recipients.

If you want to set a body through workflow/submit-article-request/email-body-template​​or workflow/submit-article-request/email-plain-body-template the subject must be set through workflow/submit-article-request/email-subject-template.
