Why am I locked out?

Brute force protection locking ensures that if a user fails to successfully log in after a consecutive number of times in order to prevent brute force attacks on your MindTouch site. Brute force attacks are programmed attacks that try to log in using a definition list of usernames and passwords in order to gain access to a site. By default, this feature is enabled on your MindTouch site. If 10 failed logins occur within a five minute period, users will receive a message to contact their site administrator.


To enable access, an administrator of your site will have to reactivate them in the MindTouch control panel.  If you would like to set the number of failed logins to occur at a number higher or lower than 10 and would like to customize your login text, please contact a MindTouch Support agent.
