This article explains the differences among the various page privacy levels in MindTouch and how they affect end users and internal users.
Page privacy levels
The table below lists the MindTouch page privacy settings and permissions:
|Privacy settings||User impact|
Page permissions CANNOT be granted on public pages. Anonymous users and community members can only view these pages, and pro members can only fulfill the role they are assigned to in the control panel on the pages.
If a user clicks the previous/next page links leading to a semi-private page, the user will be able to view that semi-private page.
How page privacy affects your site privacy
Your site's privacy is not in any way affected by your page privacy levels. Whether your site is public or private, the same rules apply.
How page privacy affects your user or group roles
|Page privacy||Effective roles|
|Public||The global roles assigned to your contributing users and groups in the control panel take effect on the page.|
|The roles assigned via page permissions take effect. For group roles, the highest assigned role takes effect on the page.|
