Upcoming feature enhancements

  • Private Sites: 403 Forbidden Error Message
    On September 6th, we will be fixing a bug in our search API to respond with the proper "403 forbidden" error when a user has not logged in to a private Expert site. Previously, users were presented with a "200 OK" error, with no further information provided. 

Planned deprecations

  • Legacy Comments
    Our legacy comments feature is scheduled to be removed on February 8, 2018. If your Expert site currently uses legacy comments, contact us.

Fixes

  • Site Activity Report: Event dates
    Fixed an issue which resulted in the association of inaccurate dates to events
  • Salesforce Integration: Usage statistics
    Fixed an issue which prevented Salesforce Integration usage statistics from displaying properly
  • Tag Search: No results (Expert 4 only)
    Fixed an issue which prevented search results from displaying properly when clicking directly on tag

Feature enhancements

  • All Expert sites have now been configured to utilize our latest editor. The new editor features a streamlined interface for an optimized use of screen space with no loss of functionality. This allows broad support for varied screen sizes, and gives editors and authors the ability to see even more content. Contact your Expert Customer Success Manager with any questions or comments. Here's a look at the new UI:

  • Site Structure: Prevention of inadvertent new page creation
    Currently, pro members who attempt to follow a link to a page that no longer exists will trigger the creation of a new page. Sites can now be configured to prevent this, and instead, deliver an error, "Page could not be found," with links to related articles.
  • Loading Animation: Replaced jQuery loading animation with CSS loading animation
    Loading animation (spinning) jQuery icons have been replaced with CSS versions, with the exceptions of TouchPoint and editor loading animations.
  • Report CSVs: UTC 24-hour time standard
    Event dates listed within User Activity and Search Report CSVs now adhere to UTC 24-hour time standard.

  • User Report CSV: Role Titles
    Improved accuracy of role titles associated with users in User Report CSVs (for more information on these reports, please contact your Customer Success manager)

    Fixed an issue which prevented the ability to edit a path via the contextual help (right click) menu
  • Control Panel: Special characters
    Fixed an issue which prevented the proper display of special characters in user and group names
  • Dashboard: Site Activity Report download
    Fixed an issue which prevented the ability to download the Site Activity Report
  • Broken link: Template:Expert link to User Guide
    Fixed a broken contextual help link to our in-product User Guide on Template:Expert.

    Currently, pro members who attempt to follow a link to a page that no longer exists will trigger the creation of a new page. Sites can now be configured to prevent this, and instead, deliver an error, "Page could not be found," with links to related articles.
  • Site Structure: Deletion of page children
    Currently, pro members who attempt to delete a page have the option of leaving that page's children in place, which results in structure errors. Sites can now be configured to prevent this, and instead, warn the user that a specific number of child pages and files will be deleted.

  • Editor Toolbar: Find and Replace Icon
    The Find and Replace icon in the editor toolbar has been updated to better reflect its purpose; it is now represented by a magnifying glass.

    Currently, pro members who attempt to follow a link to a page that no longer exists will trigger the creation of a new page. Sites can now be configured to prevent this, and instead, deliver an error, "Page could not be found," with links to related articles.
  • Site Structure: Deletion of page children
