This article provides instructions for generating browser API tokens for external development efforts or for MindTouch integrations requiring API access.

To generate an API token, you must be an administrator as well as have an allowance of tokens.

Why do I need a browser API token?

API tokens are used for development and integration outside the MindTouch environment. Generated API tokens have unique values that allow for secure API access.

Example use case

Use the browser API token to pass user event data from MindTouch to a support platform such as Zendesk. Leverage a browser API token to create a connection to Zendesk through a ticketing form. Learn more about a Touchpoint-Zendesk integration in our Touchpoint for Zendesk documentation.
