Assign a group role

Assign a role to a MindTouch user group.

If your site contains semi-public, semi-private and/or private pages, we recommend configuring users and groups with the role of Viewer in the control panel, since higher permissions can always be added on individual pages or sections later as needed. This will prevent a user or group from having a higher role than they should on pages set to public. (Refer to our page privacy doc to learn more about the different page privacy settings.) 

Assign a role to groups

  1. On the MindTouch toolbar, navigate to Site tools > Control panel.
  2. Under Users and Groups, click Groups. 
  3. Click Edit in the row of the group to edit.
  4. Assign the appropriate group role and click Save.

Roles assigned at the page level supersede roles assigned in the control panel.
